Before the big surgery!

It’s been a while since I’ve blogged but I figured I would catch everyone up!

Paxton is 2 now! And he’s doing so great! We got past this winter with no serious sicknesses! We did have an ER trip a couple months back. Paxtons trach plugged in the middle of the night. We ended up doing CPR and getting him bagged and once he was awake again he was perfectly fine. He even acted like we woke HIM up! M strong man❤️❤️. The horror from that day brought on so many intense feelings of guilt and PTSD from the past. It was just more terrible images burned into our brain.

Fast forward to yesterday! They scoped his airway again like they do every 6 months or so.. except this time was the last time before his big reconstruction surgery that we’ve been waiting almost 2 years for! They looked inside and found more granulomas (growths of tissue blocking his airway) and got them out of the way. It was the last look before June or July when they go in and (hopefully) fix his airway!

Thanks to everyone who continues to keep our baby boy in your thoughts and prayers❤️

Pictures of before/after his scope. He, like always, did great and was sent home within a few hours after waking up!
